Small business support line now open
Written on the 10 September 2009 by Hannah Johnston
A free service offering small business advice and support over the phone is now available.
The Small Business Support Line was launched by Minister for Small Business Dr Craig Emerson to provide additional advice and services for small businesses.
Dr Emerson said the support line would help small business operators navigate the myriad of government departments and specialised services needed to establish, or improve a business.
“Support line staff are business educated with strong customer service skills. They are also trained to help callers who may be suffering with depression associated with running a small business,” Dr Emerson said.
The support line can also be used to register complaints by those experiencing problems with access to and the cost of bank finance. Issues will then be referred to the Australian Bankers Association for timely response.
The Small Business Support Line is toll free on 1800 777 275 and open 8am - 6pm weekdays, or via email at email@example.com
